a great time...

The Great Minnesota Get Together.... AKA the State Fair... ...was again AWESOME! :) Hubby and I had a great day. We got there around 8:30 AM and headed for the barns to see the animals. We saw the cows, pigs, and sheep in their respective buildings. (see photo below) We then headed out for some fried cheese curds. Delicious! We then hit the Creative Activities Building to check out the crafts, jellies, cannings, pickles, etc. We walked through the 4-H Building. He ate an "About a foot long" hot dog while I waited to indulge in my annual Chicago Style hot dog. After the dogs, we walked around the grandstand to see the exhibits. I bought a Chicago Bears Sweatshirt. Hubby got a Minnesota Twins t-shirt. We then stopped for our annual Tom Thumb donuts before hitting the dairy building for our annual chocolate malt. While making our way back near our car, we stopped at Sweet Martha's Cookies for a pail of chocolate chip cookies. YUM! We ended up in Heritage Square shopping as our last point of interest. I bought myself a spoon ring. I love it! That was our day "in a nut shell!" We had a blast!
